Exciting! Do you have a single site license available? And do you offer a trial or a return policy? I currently use Sensei, but I’m not in love with it. Courseware does look better, but I’m not thrilled at potentially purchasing it and finding out it isn’t right for my needs.

We don’t have a single license at this time, however we do have a 30 day money back guarantee.

    Hi there,
I just wanted to check – now that courseware can be paired with Woocommerce, is it still necessary to buy a membership management site to hid the content?

Many thanks, and hoping i can just buy courseware and get going!

    Melanie.

The integration with WooCommerce is solely for selling courses as products. If you are looking to protect content behind a “membership wall” the we recommend using a membership plugin. Click here to see a list of our WP Courseware integrations.

Ben, does that mean that the content will not really be protected when using WOO Commerce?

        • Ben Arellano on May 29, 2015 at 11:21 am

          Hi Mohit,
WP Courseware protects course content. In order to view course content a person must be registered as a subscriber on your WordPress site and also must be enrolled into the respective course in order to view course content. The WooCommerce addon simply allows you to assign a course(s) to a product so that upon checkout and registration a user will be enrolled into the course automatically.

Please tell me if this is possible with this plug in. We have two courses we will be selling – one live course and an online course. Customers that register for and attend the live training get the online course included. Some will only take the online course and will pay for that. Is there a way to manually add the participants of the live training to the online course after the live training? Or give them a discount code so that they can register for the online course but not have to pay on check out?

    • Ben Arellano on March 28, 2015 at 5:47 pm

      Hi Cathy,
Yes, this is possible. When using the WooCommerce addon for WP Courseware, you simply need to assign the course(s) to your WooCommerce product, so upon checkout they will get enrolled into the proper course(s).

I am building a site for e-learning. I wish to use this combination. A student can buy one or more programs. He should get access to only the programs purchased. Will this combination suffice?
    – Can he buy a second program without losing access to the first?
    – Will he have access only to bought programs and not to others?

    • Ben Arellano on May 29, 2015 at 11:23 am

      Hi Mohit,
The answer is yes to both of your questions. With WooCommerce, you can create multiple products, and assign a single course or multiple courses to each product. When a student purchases a product they will only be enrolled into the associated courses. Also, that same student can purchase multiple products and be enrolled into multiple courses simultaneously.

We are using ClickFunnels for our sales, is there a way to integrate with WP Courseware after the sale has been completed so the course remains private?

    • Ben Arellano on July 6, 2015 at 2:56 pm

      Hi Lee,
Currently we don’t have integration for ClickFunnels. I can add this to our feature request list. All courses are private at all times. A user must be logged in to the WordPress site and enrolled into a course in order to see course content. Typically when someone purchases a course using a membership or ecommerce solution in which we are integrated the purchaser/student will only be enrolled into the course purchased. For a list of our current integrations see our integrations page.

    Hello,
I really don’t get why I have to use a membership plugin together with wp courseware. I thought wp courseware is a membership plugin itself?

So when I would setup a course with wp courseware and woocommerce I still need another membership plugin?

    • Ben Arellano on December 18, 2015 at 4:40 pm

      Hi Henning,
WP Courseware is not a membership plugin, however, it is a full blown learning management system. It does not require a membership plugin nor does it require an ecommerce plugin to function. Courses are protected based on whether a student is enrolled or not. This means you can technically use WP Courseware out of the box and set your courses to “automatic enrollment” and when someone registers on your WordPress site as a “subscriber” they will be enrolled. If you want to sell your courses, we do have integration with some of the best WordPress membership plugins as well as ecommerce plugins. It all depends on how you are structuring your website. If you are trying to protect content other than your course, then I would recommend using a membership plugin. If you are going to be selling digital products like eBooks, software, or courses, then you could use an ecommerce plugin like WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads, which are both free. Click here for a complete listing of WP Courseware integration plugins.

    Hi,

I have WooCommerce on my site as it comes with my theme (Monsteroid), although I haven’t activated the WC plugin yet as I am still designing my site.

    3 QUESTIONS

    1. Can I use the existing WooCommerce plugin that’s already on my site?

    2. Would the WPcourseware plugin be the best option for my online courses?
(I have a client who wants to sell his courses on his site too so am testing it all on my own WP site before recommending options for him)

    3. I want a REALLY simple membership plugin – since I’ve rwad from your above replies that I will need one if I want to sell things other than courses. Note, I have an old version of WishList from long ago but I found it cumbersome at the time and don’t want to go back there).

Thanks in advance for you help.

      Hi Lyn,

      1. Yes, you can certainly use your existing WooCommerce. Just be sure to get the integration addon plugin found at wordpress.org.
      2. Yes, WP Courseware would be a great option for your online course!
      3. If you will be selling protected content like protected posts/pages, then you’d need a membership plugin. However, if you are just selling digital downloadable content, then you only need WooCommerce. Paid Memberships Pro has a free version on wordpress.org incase you’d like to play with a membership plugin as well.

Guys I need your input please…

I already have WooCommerce on my WP site as it came with my premium theme.
I haven’t activated WooCommerce yet though.

So should I just get the WP-courseware plugin + the free integration plugin?
I mean – will my already installed WooCommerce plugin work with the other 2?

    • Ben Arellano on June 8, 2016 at 5:34 pm

      Hi Lyn,
Yes you will need all three actually. WP Courseware + WooCommerce + WooCommerce addon for WP Courseware.

    Hello,

What if a course or courses have an option to be paid in installments (for which we would use WooCommerce Subscriptions). Do you see any conflict or issue with WP Courseware integration if payment is in installments?

    • Ben Arellano on May 9, 2018 at 9:25 pm

      Hi Kiyan,
Great question! I’ve personally not setup a WooCommerce store to sell courses with the installment payment option. It would seem to me that it would work. Courses are associated with products. As long as the same action hooks fire off when a product is purchased, it should work. I would recommend doing some testing on a test site or staging site.
