Top 10 Corporate Learning Management Systems for 2018

Top 10 Corporate Learning Management Systems 2018

As developers of our own learning management system plugin for WordPress, we're constantly reading and researching to stay abreast of trends in the rapidly shifting e-learning technology landscape.

While it may sound like a daunting task, it's a process that we very much enjoy. We're fortunate to have a very vocal WP Courseware user base which is passionate about the direction and development of the project, so we receive dozens of feature requests each week which we log to evaluate for future releases.

Why do we evaluate other LMS platforms?

Digging deeper into popular hosted LMS offerings which are being used by corporations, universities, and entrepreneurs allows us to think more critically and objectively when it comes to WP Courseware's functionality and the development road map we're shaping.

While a typical user who chooses large-scale, hosted LMS solutions such as LearnUpon or Litmos may not have the same goals or project requirements as our WP Courseware customers do, looking at those platforms helps us think beyond simply WP Courseware as a WordPress plugin.

Our goal is to help as many people as we possibly can in sharing their knowledge with the world, and each day we're motivated by that vision. Our learning management system platform may not make this list any time soon, but that's fine with us.

We're still able to put customers first!

In our business we truly have the opportunity to help people. We respond to every pre-sales inquiry as if it were the most important one we've ever answered...because to that prospective customer, it is.

We're able to handle support the same way. We're not burdened by tens of thousands of customers hosting courses on our system which would, in turn, lead us to treat support like a commodity and outsource it to a team that knows nothing about our customers. We're able to dig in and find solutions so that at the end of the day, our customers succeed.

Without further ado...

We conduct these reviews of various hosted LMS systems regularly, often producing screen recordings of what we like and don't like so that we can share them throughout our team. As we surveyed the corporate LMS landscape ahead of 2018, we thought we'd compile the offerings that we regularly evaluate within an infographic to provide an interesting visualization of where the LMS market is headed over the next 12 months.
