What's New In Version 4.2?
Well, 2017 may be coming to a close, but we're not slowing down any time soon here at Fly Plugins!
After releasing a long list of new functionality and our new Classroom page in version 4.1 of WP Courseware, right on its heels we're very excited to announce that version 4.2 is also out the door!
Front End Course Styling Customization
WP Courseware now includes a new admin interface for easily styling all of your front end course elements! The new styling menu allows you to easily modify 22 separate front end course display elements without ever touching code. You can even preview your changes as you make them from within the WordPress Customizer!
Student Profile Page
WP Courseware's new student profile page gives you a quick overview of a student's progress across all courses. But the real benefit is being able to manage any activities for that student in one place...view detailed progress, email the student, update course access, reset course progress, or edit the student's profile details!
Newly Designed Add Student Page
WP Courseware version 4.2 now includes a streamlined option for manually adding new students to your course. Now there's no need to access the WordPress "Users" screen to create new students and add them to your course...it's done right from within the WP Courseware admin menu!
New Visual Editor for Email Messages
WP Courseware version 4.1 introduced the ability to email individual students as well as entire course classrooms. But we've just taken it a step further! The email editor used to craft your messages to students or classrooms now includes a full-featured visual editor for formatting your messages, including links, placing media, and much more!
And Much More!
WP Courseware version 4.2 includes a number of other updates as well! After moving a number of options around in version 4.1 to provide a much cleaner and more streamlined admin menu for creating and managing courses, we received a number of suggestions from our users regarding ways to improve the availability of course management features even further.
Well, we were listening! If you submitted feedback to us after the release of version 4.1...thank you! We've made around a half dozen changes to various course management options to make them even more accessible when and where you need them.
We also made several "under the hood" updates to improve the performance of the plugin when accessing screens that have a lot of information, such as the unit listing screen, quiz listing screen, and quiz question pool screen.
But stay tuned...there's much more on the way in the coming weeks!
