[WP COURSEWARE 4.5] Do You Teach Video Courses? You Need to See This!

Announcing WP Courseware 4.5 and S3 Media Maestro 3.2

Do you teach online video courses with WordPress?

If you answered “yes” to that question, then we think you’ll be pretty excited about the news we have to share today.

After many, many requests from our customers, we’ve finally built WP Courseware integration into our S3 Media Maestro video delivery plugin…

This is functionality that no other WordPress LMS plugin has, but…

What does this mean for you as a course creator?

Now you can ensure that your students watch video lessons in their entirety before they can progress through a course!

And what does this lead to?

Increased learning retention

No longer will you wonder if your students sped through your course without picking up on key learning concepts. Now you can ensure that they benefit from all of the value that you’re providing to them through the hard work you’ve put into creating your course.

Faster course launches

It’s no secret that many, many online courses launch before they’re even finished, with the course creator dripping content out on a pre-planned schedule and releasing modules as they’re created.

By ensuring that students are thoroughly watching your video content, you as the course creator don’t need to go into full-blown panic mode, cranking out content as quickly as possible while sacrificing quality along the way.

SO…HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • First, you’ll need to have WP Courseware installed and activated and have a course created.
  • Second, you’ll need to install and activate S3 Media Maestro, our secure media delivery plugin which allows you to easily embed media stored on the powerful Amazon S3 cloud storage platform.
  • Third, simply embed your media within your WP Courseware course units using S3 Media Maestro’s easy-to-use media placement button and select from the new options for your video:

*Do you want to require the video to be watched in its entirety before students can progress?

*When the video finishes, do you want to display the “Mark Lesson as Completed” button or simply automatically progress the student to the next lesson?

*What percentage of the video do you want to require the student to watch??

Discount Codes

You asked…we listened!

The ability to provide discount codes for your online courses is now built directly into WP Courseware. Set a promotional code to offer a fixed discount or percentage discount, apply it to a single course or the entire cart, exclude courses from the discount, set expirations, limit per customer uses, and more!

Discount codes are a great way to promote your course either during your course launch or afterwards through guest blogging or exposure on other websites in your niche.

Another feature which has been highly requested is the ability to de-enroll students in bulk from the “Classroom” page. We’ve also included this handy feature in WP Courseware version 4.5.

Great job with these new updates I really like the Discount Coupons.

I’m hoping that the next round of updates will have a way for Multiple Teachers to access and work on the same course together.

Maybe add bookmarking functionality to it so people can select a moment in the video they deem important interesting
