How do I add Genesis layout and sidebar support to WP Courseware units?

Add these snippets to your child theme’s functions.php file, or use a code-snippets plugin. Don’t add them to the Genesis parent theme, where updates would overwrite them.

Layouts

add_post_type_support( 'course_unit', 'genesis-layouts' );

By doing so you will get the layout option metabox while editing or creating a course unit.

Sidebars

This requires the Genesis Simple Sidebars plugin.
