Why can’t I add questions to my quizzes?

There are currently two known issues that may prevent you from adding quiz questions to quizzes.

1. Make sure your site meets WP Courseware’s requirements, including PHP 7.2.24 or higher.
2. If you are adding a large number of questions to a quiz, you may need to raise the max_input_vars PHP setting. The default is usually 1000, so raising it to 5000 or 8000 will help. If you can’t edit your php.ini file, you can usually change this setting in your hosting control panel or in a .user.ini file.

If you have difficulty adjusting the PHP version or any PHP settings, please contact your hosting company. They should be able to accommodate these requests.
